Dear Colleagues,
Happy New Year to all of You !
Looking back 2008 was a epoch-making year for NOF our first and very successful congress in Amsterdam, the Netherlands combined with our first giving out of NOF Fellowship, dkr 100.000 (13.333 €) – and not to forget full membership for our new friends in Estonia. The Board will continuously strive for fulfilling the aim of NOF :
- to work for cooperation between orthopaedic surgeons in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, concerning scientific and medical standards and development, in their field of specialization
- to promote research, development and education in the field of orthopaedics and related topics
- to contact other orthopaedic federations
Hence, 2009 shall be the year where the Board promotes a new Educational Programme deeply rooted in the sub-specialities. The Board already now calls for the inspiration and guidance from these groups. Please do not hesitate to contact me on mail address bmm@neuro.au.dk . The Educational Programme will bee published on NOF Website: http://www.norf.org Yours sincerely Bjarne Møller-Madsen
Aarhus, Denmark The 5th January 2009 NOF Congress 2010 1. Announcement On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are pleased to send you the first announcement of the 55th Nordic Orthopaedic Federation (NOF) Congress. The 55th NOF Congress will take place at The Concert Hall in Aarhus, Denmark, May 5th-7th, 2010. Furthermore, the 55th NOF Congress will be the celebration of the 90 years anniversary of NOF (Founded as a Nordic Orthopaedic Federation in Copenhagen, the 24th of May 1920). In order to achieve effective announcement, it would be of great importance for the Organising Committee to have a contact person - a NOF Congress Ambassador - in all member countries. The Ambassador should be able to distribute information materials concerning the NOF Congress at relevant national orthopaedic meetings and facilitate an on-line web-link from the national orthopaedic society web-page to the web-page of the 55th NOF Congress. The NOF Congress will supply the Ambassador with all information and materials needed. Please forward the name and contact information of a NOF Congress Ambassador to the NOF Congress Office in Aarhus, Demark: Secretary Tina Stenumgaard, Department of Orthopaedics, Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark E-mail: tinasten@rm.dk You may also visit the 55th NOF Congress at http://www.nof2010.dk/ Yours sincerely,
